Parliament upheld Government decree on travel in Uusimaa

The Government decree restricting people’s movement into and out of Uusimaa was retained in force by the Parliament in their session on March 27. The decree separates Uusimaa from the rest of Finland in an attempt to contain the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

Parliament also decided to retain in force the Government decree that sets an obligation to work for the healthcare staff in the entire country.

Both decrees were discussed according to the committee report of the Constitutional Law Committee.
