Interpellation debate on the energy market, price of electricity and Government's Fortum policy

On 5 October, Parliament will discuss an interpellation concerning the operation of the energy market, the price of electricity and the Government's Fortum policy. MP Riikka Purra (Finns Party Parliamentary Group) is the first signatory of the interpellation. It has been signed by 43 MPs, and the parliamentary groups of the Finns Party, Christian Democrats and Liike Nyt Movement have joined the interpellation.

In their interpellation, the opposition groups ask, among other things, what measures the Government plans to take to moderate household electricity bills and secure purchasing power, is the Government ready to suspend emissions trading or increase the number of emission rights and how has the Government's ownership control developed during this government term?

The Government's answer to the interpellation will be given by Prime Minister Sanna Marin.

The vote of confidence will be held in the plenary session starting at 1 pm on Friday, 7 October.
